Job Summary:
As a Civil Technical Director, you will be a pivotal force in our London team, driving growth and spearheading the design of land development engineering projects for exciting, high-profile ventures. This role offers the unique opportunity to manage and mentor a team of multidisciplinary engineers, lead design efforts, and cultivate and maintain client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with office leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization.
- Showcase your entrepreneurial spirit by engaging in Business Development activities, securing new clients, and nurturing existing relationships.
- Lead the design of diverse projects, from layout and grading to drainage and infrastructure, overseeing them from concept through completion.
- Champion all aspects of land development engineering, seamlessly integrating geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to a team of technical staff, fostering their professional growth and career development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree a plus).
- Valid Chartered Engineer (CEng) licensure.
- 10+ years of experience in related civil land development engineering.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to function as a leader while still getting involved on projects at the ground floor.
- Knowledge of local land use entitlement processes and regulations.
- Expertise in storm water management design, LID, and hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D (preferred).
- Strong client development and management abilities.
- Active participation in professional organizations.
