Project Manager 

Water Infrastructure (Civil Engineering) 

Essex

We are seeking experienced Project Managers with a strong background in water-sector civil engineering to support major infrastructure programmes across Essex.

This role involves leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing contractors, overseeing programme delivery, and ensuring projects meet regulatory, safety, environmental and quality standards. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, supply-chain partners, and statutory bodies to deliver essential water-network upgrades and enhancement schemes.

Contract Details

• Day Rate: £450–£475 per day

• Engagement: Umbrella or Outside IR35

• Duration: Initial 6-month rolling contract, extendable up to 5 years

• Opportunities to support major long-term frameworks

Ideal Experience

• Proven experience managing civil engineering projects in the water / wastewater sector

• Strong understanding of NEC contracts

• Strong understanding of NEC contracts

• Experience overseeing contractors, CDM compliance, and site delivery

• Ability to manage budgets, programmes and risk registers
