Night Shift Train Cleaner
Littlehampton Train Depot
£15.19–£22.02 per hour, depending on shift and overtime
Immediate start, initial 6-month contract with potential to go permanent

We are excited to offer opportunities for Night Shift Train Cleaners at Littlehampton Train Depot. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring trains are spotless, hygienic, and ready to provide a welcoming experience for passengers each morning. Working nights from 21:30pm to 04:30am on a rotating schedule, you will carry out hands-on cleaning duties including floors, seats, toilets, and touchpoints. Every shift delivers visible results, and your work will make a real difference to passenger comfort and safety.

In return, you will earn a competitive rate of £15.19 per hour for standard hours, with enhanced pay for overtime, rest days, and Sunday shifts, and you will be eligible for a pay increase after 12 weeks under Agency Worker Rights.  Full PPE and comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided to help you succeed. This role offers a great entry point into the rail industry, with opportunities to progress into specialist train presentation roles or other positions within the railway sector.

You will succeed in this role if you are reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to high standards, with the physical capability to carry out active, hands-on duties. Experience in cleaning, transport, or manual work is advantageous but not essential, what matters most is your attention to detail, work ethic, and pride in your work.

You will be joining one of the UK’s major rail networks, operating a large fleet of trains across multiple routes and connecting city centres, towns, and rural communities. Every team member plays a visible role in providing a positive passenger experience, and your contribution will be appreciated every day.
