The company are looking for an Internal Communications Officer to join their established team, this will be a hybrid position with time split between their Head Office and home. This exciting and varied role will see you working with colleagues across the business, managing internal comms channels, creating, and writing copy, photos, creating engagement and finding the story!  

The role

  • You will develop and deliver timely and relevant internal communications content, plans and tactics across the companies’ channels as part of the internal communications strategy.
  • You will ensure communications reflect the company’s vision, mission, values, purpose and tone of voice and support colleague engagement.
  • A key responsibility will be to manage, develop and provide content for the company’s SharePoint intranet and news channel. You will Ensure all content is people-focused, clear, consistent, and appropriately targeted, and produce reports to measure channels and ensure they are meeting their objectives. 

About you:

To be right for this position ideally you will have previous experience working in an internal communications role. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent IT skills including SharePoint, MS Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator) You’ll be a first-class communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. You will also have experience of project management, time management and meeting deadlines.

Although it isn’t a requirement, it would be fantastic is you also had;

  • Experience of using Poppulo email platform
  • Experience of managing and producing events
  • Understanding of print production process and design
  • Related degree

You would be working for a train operating company, who are responsible for carrying almost 600,000 passengers every day throughout London and the South-east. They are one of the busiest commuter rail companies in the UK and have over 4700 employees.
