9-12 month contract opportunity for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer. Remote working available, immediate start.
Full Stack Software Engineer Role
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will develop, modify, and maintain elements of services that people see and interact with.
You will work with agile, multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with Delivery Managers, User Researchers, Business Analysts, Test Automation Engineers, Technical Architects, and other Software Engineers to deliver world-class services designed for the people who use them.
You will build accessible user interfaces for services, both in prototype and production environments. These interfaces must work across multiple devices and browsers. You will take responsibility for the quality of code you produce by ensuring a high level of unit test coverage as well as assisting and writing journey tests in partnership with the teams QAs.
You will be expected to use Design System components to allow for rapid prototyping and then building of the live service. Your responsibilities will include development and maintenance of production code.
You should have experience of building services that work and perform quickly across different devices and browsers using modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript technologies such as Node.js and Express.js.
You will follow principles and be responsible for the operational stability and resilience of the products you build. You’ll place an emphasis on assurance automation and CI/CD principles to deliver quality outcomes in line with engineering strategy and industry best-practice.

· Java - Spring Boot
· Build tool - Maven
· TDD - JUnit
· CI - Git
· CI/CD tooling – GitLab CI
· HTML (inc. Nunjucks) & CSS (inc. CSS preprocessors, e.g. Sass)
