ETCS Business Change Manager / Project Manager (Change) - #1 OTM Contractor – Doncaster with Travel– Circa £80,000 + Package

Through the implementation of the European Train Control System (ETCS), we present a rare opportunity for an ETCS Business Change Manager to drive the change activities within an industry leader.

About the Role:

As the ETCS Business Change Manager, you'll be instrumental in leading the change activities, ensuring a seamless transition from current business operations to the future of ETCS. Your role will be crucial in making ETCS a part of everyday business, contributing to the success of their high-performing On-track machine business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all ETCS deliverables meet contractual and program requirements.
  • Monitor and report progress consistently to stakeholders.
  • Lead ETCS Business Change delivery, interfacing with engineering activities for compliance.
  • Manage ETCS budget and program for business change, ensuring robust control of change.
  • Oversee ETCS program schedule and risk registers, managing internal and external communications.
  • Interface with relevant stakeholders daily, providing support across functions.
  • Ensure team compliance with safety systems, procedures, and standards.
  • Coordinate, plan, and arrange resource requirements for relevant disciplines.
  • Attend ETCS meetings and provide updates to the team.
  • Support ETCS Team with guidance and ensure processes align with design and quality standards.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties aligned with project needs and the wider ETCS program.

To be eligible, you must have:

  • Degree level education or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience leading change in a commercially driven environment involving people and technology.
  • Robust understanding of change management principles and effective communication to stakeholders.
  • Comfort with new and emerging technology, engineering, computing, digital tools, and manufacturing/construction processes.
  • Experience in a similar role within the rail or similar industries such as Rolling Stock, Freight, Engineering, Construction etc
  • Membership (or working towards membership) of the Association for Project Management/other recognised professional body.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills.
  • In-depth experience with collaborative projects.
  • High-level numeracy and IT skills, proficient in relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team management and development.
