Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor (Contract – Outside IR35)
Location: Peterborough (Office-based two or three days per week)
Rate: Circa £500 per day (Outside IR35 Subject to Determination)
Start: ASAP (flexible for the right person)
Duration: Initial contract with potential to extend
The Opportunity
Our client is a market-leading, specialist contractor operating nationally across highways and infrastructure support services. Due to increased workload they require an experienced Commercial Manager / Senior QS to step in and take commercial ownership of our Peterborough depot.
This is a hands-on contract role suited to someone confident managing depot-level commercial performance, CVRs and project reporting within a fast-paced highways environment.
The Role
- Full commercial responsibility for the depot
- Production and ownership of monthly CVRs (cost vs value), split by project
- Supporting delivery teams with forecasting, cost control and reporting
- QS-style duties across multiple civils and highways contracts
- Working with frameworks including National Highways, Ringway Jacobs etc.
- Use of CEMAR (training available if required)
About You
- Strong commercial background
- Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors or highways specialists
- Confident operating autonomously and “getting hands dirty”
- Comfortable in a depot-led, non-corporate environment
- Highways or infrastructure experience essential
