The Company

The Opportunity
Working Monday to Friday, you will provide support to high level technicians in the diagnostics of faults on EMU’s fleets. Be able to communicate your findings and resolutions to the maintenance technicians. You will also be experienced in downloading and processing train diagnostic data, and undertake fault finding to an advanced level. You will be efficient in producing complex, analytical technical reports on fault investigation.
The Package
Salary up to £45,000 per annum, Working Monday to Friday, 25 days holiday + BH, Free Rail Travel and Final Salary Pension.
About You
With a high level of Fault Diagnostics with Rolling Stock, of both mechanical and electrical systems. Understanding of how to provide leadership of engineering change, or technical leadership in modifications on trains. You will also provide technical reports on fleet performance, and instruction to maintenance staff to improve fleet reliability. You will also be mitigating the risk of in-service failures through proactive intervention, which will in turn give you the opportunity to analysis data concerning performance.
NVQ 3 or higher within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment
Experience of writing technical reports
In depth knowledge of rolling stock systems / procedures including schematics, fault finding techniques and download analysis
