A main contractor who’s renowned for significant investment into their employees, are looking for a Site Agent to join their business and support rail projects throughout the Home Counties. This role will see you be directly responsible for the daily management of various civil engineering and rail projects within their portfolio of works within the region. Majority of the works will include Footbridges, Ramps, Platforms, Lift shafts (Station Civils) this is to ensure Step Free Access at stations across the region, to allow Access for All.
You will be ensuring that the contract is executed in accordance with the requirements of legislation, contract, safety and budget. You’ll be liaising with site staff and managing surveyor to ensure tender allowances are not exceeded.
The continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met.
Ensuring that in conjunction with the site team changes to the contract are identified, agreed and effectively managed.
The provision of formal reports on contract progress to the Contracts Manager.
For this position, the company is offering a basic salary up to £55,000 per annum, the choice of a company car or car allowance, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, 5% matched pension, Health insurance. You will be provided with an uplift in rate for any weekend or night overtime.

It is essential that you’re an established Sub Agent / Site Agent, preferably with experience within the Rail sector. This role will really give you the opportunity to progress your career into either an Operations or a more technical based career route.
