A Tier 1 Principal Contractor with an annual turnover of nearly a £1billion have an incredible opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with a Rail and Civils background to join their rail division and work along side the Director. With tremendous plans to grow the business even more over the next few years, this role will provide you with the chance to grow with them and further a successful career.
The company’s Rail and Infrastructure division combines Highways and Rail, their projects range from award winning station refurbishment projects up to high profile signature design transport interchange buildings.
The Role:
As Senior Project Manager, you will report directly into the Director and take on Operational responsibility for the Project. You will be working as the Directors ‘number 2’, allowing them to focus more on the future strategy and development. Day to day you will: -
- Be responsible for inspection of all Work Package Plans, Method statements and risk assessments
- Actively encourage a Safely strict workplace
- Be the number one representative on site for their clients
- Use your engineering knowledge to assist with the Temporary works aspect which is of importance on this scheme
- Provide strong People Management of the site teams, providing guidance to the Construction Manager.
Ideal Candidate:
- You will have a proven track record of strong leadership on multi-disciplinary projects
- It is essential that you will be experienced within the Rail and Civils sector
- You will have a proven track record of liaising with multiple clients within the rail industry
- Degree educated (Ideally Civil Engineering)
- You will be able to work autonomously as the Director won’t often be on site.
Benefits:
Competitive salary £70,000 - £75,000 per annum
26 days holiday + bank holidays
