The Opportunity

Working on a shift rotation basis, you will act as front-line support to the customer responding to and diagnosing faults, alongside providing support to the maintenance teams concerning faults. Working with Brand New Trains and the latest technologies. Be able to communicate your findings and resolutions to the maintenance technicians. You will also be experienced in downloading and processing train diagnostic data, and undertake fault finding to an advanced level. You will be efficient in producing complex, analytical technical reports on fault investigation.

The Package

Basic Salary - £36,771 per annum, +30% Shift Allowance = £43,896, +£4000 London Weighting, 40 hour a week, 26 days holiday + BH, BONUS up to 6% per annum, Matched Pension up to 10%

About You

With a high level of Fault Diagnostics with Rolling Stock, you will undertake maintenance and repair of the allocated rolling stock to meet the requirements of the production plan and regularly monitor train defects and failures in traffic and liaise with the customer. You will also be mitigating the risk of in-service failures through proactive intervention, which will in turn give you the opportunity to analysis data concerning performance.

NVQ 3 or higher within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment
Experience of writing analytical technical reports
In depth knowledge of rolling stock systems / procedures including schematics, fault finding techniques and download analysis
