Job Title: Rolling Stock Software Engineer

This World-famous organisation are looking to grow their systems engineering department with the addition of a Rolling Stock Software Engineer to support on existing fleets and a number of high-profile new fleet introductions.
The Candidate:
You will currently be working as a software engineer on some kind of vehicle. We want to hear from people who design, create and test software on embedded systems in the transportation sector. You may currently work in Avionics or Automotive. Marine or Aerospace. It doesn’t matter. If it moves, and you are responsible for the software within it then get in touch as this could be the next step in your career.
The Role:
In your new role as a Rolling Stock Software Engineer you will be responsible for designing software management processes for a range of local and high-speed trains across the United Kingdom. You will work with both internal and external stakeholders to perfect the concept and then push the entire process through to testing and completion. You will of course have a plethora of support from different departments within the business but ultimately you will be the key driver that ensures each clients needs are met when it comes to the operational database of each fleet of trains.
The Requirements:
We would expect the successful rolling stock software engineer to have at least 2 years experience designing and testing software for embedded systems in the rolling stock, aerospace, automotive or marine sectors. You will be familiar with VBA, Matlab, Python or Lua and have a good understanding of the application of EN 50657/50128 processes. Aside from physical experience you will also have a desire to be the best and will be passionate about delivering a high level of service to your new, high-profile clients.
Salary: Up to £50,000 p.a.
