Contract Length: 3-month initial contract

THE ROLE

As a Rolling Stock Maintenance Engineer, you will be working on a variety of fleets performing maintenance, testing and fault finding to rolling stock which has been raised as having defects or faults of the safety critical systems. You will be from a rolling stock background, skilled in electrical and mechanical engineering with experience working on key rolling stock components and systems including HVAC, Driver Advisory Systems, Train Protection & Warning System, Driver-Only Operated systems and Train Control & Management System.

the ideal candidate

You are an experienced Rolling Stock Maintenance Engineer with extensive work history in fault finding and rectification of fleet defects. To be considered for this role, you will have completed projects with a focus on identifying and rectifying faults, removing and repairing Safety Critical components including various hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical systems. You will have experience working on brakes, traction, signals, doors and on-board computer systems.  

THE REQUIREMENTS

A proven background in safety critical rolling stock fault finding and servicing with a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or other engineering discipline. The ideal Rolling Stock Maintenance Engineer will also be able to commit to a varying shift pattern.

WORKING HOURS

Days and Nights (4 on/ 4 off)

Rate of Pay - £24.26 p/h
