Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Welling (hybrid working – site, office & WFH)
Rate: £450–£475 per day (Outside IR35 Limited or PAYE Umbrella)
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in water or civil engineering projects? We are seeking a Project Manager to support the successful delivery of essential water infrastructure upgrades and compliance-driven asset improvement works across a long-term regulated framework.
You’ll join a technical delivery team responsible for ensuring critical assets within a live operational environment remain resilient, compliant, and fit for purpose. This role is centred on engineering-led planning, programme control, and stakeholder coordination across multiple water sites.
About the Role
As Project Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of water and infrastructure upgrade schemes from early scoping through to commissioning. Typical works include:
- Civil engineering and MEICA-related upgrades
- Site access and asset protection improvements
- Installation of kiosks, security systems, and associated infrastructure
- Minor civils, compound layouts, and resilience enhancements
Responsibilities include:
- Leading project delivery across all phases, ensuring alignment with engineering, operational, and regulatory requirements
- Managing multi-disciplinary teams including designers, site managers, planners, and MEICA specialists
- Producing detailed programmes, forecasts, and project controls documentation
- Monitoring cost, schedule, risk, and change, ensuring robust reporting
- Coordinating with client operational teams to minimise site disruption
- Upholding governance, CDM compliance, quality standards, and H&S procedures
- Preparing and presenting progress reviews to senior stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a Project Manager with proven experience in water, wastewater, utilities, or civil engineering environments—preferably across regulated or framework programmes.
Essential:
- Strong project delivery background within water, utilities, or infrastructure
- Solid understanding of civil and/or MEICA works
- Excellent commercial and programme management skills
- Experience managing multiple live sites and operational constraints
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- CSCS Card
