Project Manager – Civil Engineering | Marine & Bridge Projects (ECI)
Location: Hybrid – occasional office visits
Contract: 3 months (potential extension)
Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for your next contract opportunity? Do you have experience within marine or tidal estuary environments (ECI stage)? If so, I would love to speak with you.
This is a standalone Project Manager role — highly autonomous and focused on leading from a commercial, consultancy and ECI governance perspective rather than site-based delivery. In addition to a key tidal estuary scheme, there are several bridge projects at ECI stage requiring support.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for delivering a specific framework and associated projects, including both marine and bridge schemes at ECI stage.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing your own diary and programme of works

Leading pricing exercises and developing programme submissions

Developing procurement strategies
-
Driving early subcontractor involvement

Producing supplier & subcontractor market engagement summaries
-
Framework and preferred supplier selection
-
Overall ECI governance and documentation
-
Producing budgets, options appraisals and programmes
-
Working on technically complex and sensitive schemes
This role requires someone comfortable operating independently, engaging senior stakeholders, and steering projects through pre-construction and ECI phases.
About You

Previous marine / tidal estuary experience / Bridges / Structures

Experience working at ECI stage

Strong civil engineering background, ideally across:

Highways
-
Energy
-
Water
-
Heavy civils / infrastructure
-

Commercially aware with experience in pricing and programme development

Comfortable managing multiple early-stage schemes concurrently
