THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You will be an experienced Project Engineer within the Rolling Stock sector, with exceptional planning and organisational skills. You’ll be analytically minded, with well developed presentation and communication skills. You’ll be highly customer focused and with a great understanding of commercial realities and implications. You will also have a background within negotiating and a good technical and commercial understanding and pragmatism where necessary
ABOUT THE JOB
As the Project Engineer you’ll provide leadership for a range of overhaul projects, as well as being the point of contact with the customer. So, having a strong background within Rolling Stock maintenance, retrofits, refurbishments and overhauls is a necessity for this position. You will provide supervision of all activates and processes from the contract signing until the final acceptance of the project. You’ll work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the projects run smoothly according to the desired technical performance, budget and schedule. You’ll develop and follow-up the detailed planning for documentation, delivery and commissioning for the entire scope and you’ll manage the project-related risk management. As the PM you’ll ensure that all activities conform to regulatory procedures, codes of conduct and approvals. Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, but there is flexibility and agile working available.
THE REQUIREMENTS
- Engineering Degree
- Rolling Stock Repair and overhaul experience would be advantageous
- Electrically bias
THE SALARY
Salary is £50k, Car Allowance £5k per annum, 7% (average) Bonus, private medical insurance Great Pension + 25 Days Holiday + BH
