The role

As a Senior Engineer/Section Engineer you will be required to manage your own portfolio of projects which could involve leading projects which will run simultaneously. Site paperwork such as WPP’s, ITP’s and method statements must be followed in accordance with design consultancy. You will support the delivery and development elements of the projects utilising planning documentation and keeping up to date with any ongoing site maintenance. 

You will need to communicate effectively with pre-construction, delivery teams as well as Site Managers. Plans and methodologies of these teams will need to be adhered to and followed with an acute eye for detail. You will also be required to liaise with multiple parties and stakeholders including the following: Sub-contractors, local authorities and any other 3rd parties or potential stake holders.

You will need to check all the construction documents are accurate and seek CRE/CEM approvals or from other stakeholders. Deadlines for hand backs on projects must be met, so the ability to work under pressure and multi-tasking is a skill that must be second nature.

Commercial awareness will assist in the pre-start and completion of these tasks and projects. Health and Safety must be taken seriously and working alongside Site Managers and collaborating with them to ensure that all requirements are met is important to both client and the stake holders.

Their objective is to ensure they have the best people and machinery to ensure contracts and deadlines are met to the highest possible standards.

Renumeration:

Basic salary is subject to experience and is accompanied with generous holiday entitlement. They will also upkeep funding for any relevant required tickets and qualification and a path that can lead to becoming a Project Manager or CRE/CEM.

There will be opportunity for future and further career development for the correct candidate as the client is committed to ongoing learning and improvement of their staff to assist with maintaining high standards and winning future bids.

You will receive a car or car allowance in the region of £4,000, and a healthy pension contribution from the employer.

Overtime is paid at a substantial rate also. A working week will be 40-45 hours a week as standard.

About you:


A Senior Engineer who can provide technical support is required to overcome challenges and who is innovative will thrive in this environment. A minimum of HND / HNC or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.

You will also require a full and clean UK driving license.
