The Role in Detail:
To excel in this role, you must hold a valid Sentinel Card with PTS competencies in AC/DC. Full training and PPE will be provided to ensure your safety and readiness.
As a Train Cleaner, you'll be a vital part of an engineering depot environment, responsible for a range of cleaning tasks:
- Interior train cleaning, including deep cleans, touch point cleaning, sanitizing, hoovering, waste removal, and restroom maintenance.
- Exterior train cleaning, such as hand-bashing, fuelling, sanding, graffiti removal, and more.
- You'll work with specialist cleaning equipment and chemicals, mainly in outdoor areas, with on-the-job training provided to ensure your success.
Requirements:
This role demands a strong work ethic, effective communication skills, reliability, and flexibility to work permanent night shifts. Our 7-night roster schedule provides several working hour options, allowing you to choose the best fit for your lifestyle:
A) 22:00 pm – 05:00 am every night
B) 21:30 pm – 04:30 am every night
C) 21:00 pm – 04:00 am Monday to Friday and 22:00 pm – 05:00 am on Saturday and Sunday
Rates of Pay:
- Standard Hours (35 hours per week) - £13.15 p/h
- Overtime - £19.58 p/h
- Sunday Nights - £22.85 p/h
- Weekly pay with a pay increase after 12 weeks, as part of agency workers’ rights.
