Job Title: Rolling Stock Modifications Technician
Location: Ashford with initial training at Ramsgate

Contract Length: 6 months initial contract (12 – 18 months project)

The Company
This is an opportunity to work for a successful train operating company which operates one of the busiest networks in the country and focuses on providing a reliable train service for their passengers. This company has recently invested in a full fleet of modern trains with increased seats to provide more pleasant and comfortable journeys for commuters to ensure significantly improved customer experience.
THE ROLE
As a Rolling Stock Modification Technician, you will be working on a fleet performing electrical “mods” with the focus being “at seat” Power. Working from engineering drawings, you shall be installing front end plates and electrical connections, crimping, and wiring of circuit systems, running electrical connections into looms down the coach, a connection into a circuit breaker and point to point final testing.
the ideal candidate
You are an experienced Rolling Stock Modifications Engineer with extensive work history performing electrical modifications. To be considered for this role, you will have worked on rolling stock projects where you can demonstrate your experience working on “mods” in clear detail.
THE REQUIREMENTS
A proven background in electrical modifications from the rolling stock sector is highly desired and you are qualified to a level 2 engineering standard or above with the flexibility to work both days & nights
WORKING HOURS
Days and Nights – 50 hours per week
Mon-Fri
Rate of Pay – Days £27 p/h – Nights £30 p/h (Inside IR35)
