The Role

The main challenge of this role will be liaising with all departments on the supply chain involved in the materials process from procurement, commercials, logistics and quality assurance. You will be reporting into the materials controller. Ensuring that all departments are operating to schedule and multi-tasking is crucial to this role to keep all jobs running with the materials required on site.

Generating bills of materials for a wide variety of projects using the scheme plans, and tendering teams estimates ground plans.

You will be obtaining quotes for the supply chain and buyers using internal systems.

You will be expected to check all materials being ordered are going to the required projects and they meet specification.

Provide updates to the Project Engineer and warehouse personnel with the relevant deliverables. This will be expected throughout the entire project’s life cycle.

They have operated for over 150 years and provide many innovative solutions in the sectors they operate in. They have multiple UK sites including manufacturing and office space as well as other sites across the globe.

Renumeration:

Basic salary is subject to experience and is accompanied with generous holiday entitlement of 26 days plus bank holidays. They will also provide funding and support training and development and offer full support in candidates that express the appetite to progress.

They offer 10% pension contributions included within the package being offered as well as a bonus scheme if targets are met.

About you:
A Materials Co-ordinator who is resilient, calm and performs under pressure. Perseverance and dedication are required to be able to perform in this role. A HNC or HNC or Degree in civil engineering is desired but not essential.

You will also require a full and clean UK driving license.
