The Opportunity

As a Logistics & Materials Controller you will be responsible for managing logistics and resources required to facilitate the smooth and efficient construction of works. Initially the position will support the company in the delivery of the construction of new structures as part of their portfolio of HS2 projects, but will also support the wider business as required.

  • You will manage the supply stream and facilitate the logistical issues and quality processes for plant and materials
  • Be responsible for the timely planned delivery of all materials and associated logistics to enable the execution of the construction plan
  • Quality Management
  • Effectively mobilise resources to deliver the agreed works

Package

For this position, the company is offering a basic salary up to £35,000 per annum dependant on experience, a company van (commercial vehicle), 26 days holiday + 8 days bank holidays with two optional charity days and the option to buy more holidays, funding and support with professional memberships, 4.5% matched pension rising to 7.5%, Health Insurance and Life assurance

About you

  • You will have ideally worked on large scale Engineering/Construction projects
  • You can be a forces leaver who has worked in logistics within the REME or Forces
  • Experience in the operational running of a storage facility or yard, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate with the Site teams and set up a slick signing in/signing out process
  • PTS certified (desirable)
  • Demonstrable understanding of safety expectations
  • CSCS and CPCS certified
  • SMSTS 5-day site safety (or SSSTS)
  • Small tools training (desirable)
