Circa £60,000 per annum + Car Allowance

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You will be an experienced Mechanical Engineer, with exceptional planning and organisational skills with an element of design and reverse engineering experience. You will have exposure to industrial gearboxes and will be analytically minded, with well-developed presentation and communication skills. You’ll be highly customer focused with a great understanding of commercial realities and implications.
ABOUT THE JOB
As the Lead Mechanical Engineer you’ll provide engineering leadership for a range of system improvements, redesigns and warranty work, as well as being the point of contact with the customer. So, having a strong background in design is a necessity for this position. You will provide knowledge and skill in the reverse engineering of mechanical systems, and be able to produce designs on CAD for obsolete parts. You’ll work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the projects run smoothly according to the desired technical performance, budget and schedule. You’ll develop and follow-up the detailed planning for documentation, delivery and commissioning for the entire scope and you’ll manage the project-related risk management. Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, but there is flexibility and agile working available.
- Engineering Degree
- Experience as lead mechanical engineer on large industrial gearboxes or coupling units
Salary is circa £60k, Car Allowance of £6K, 7% (average) Bonus, private medical insurance, life insurance, great pension + 25 Days Holiday + BH
