The Company
This leading organisation in providing safe and reliable passenger services across the London and South East, is looking for an experienced Rolling Stock Manager to oversee the technical investigations of their new fleets of trains! This is an excellent opportunity to bring your leadership skills and rolling stock knowledge to ensure the continued reliability of fleets as they enter service!
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll be an inspirational leader, with experience and knowledge of fleet reliability and technical investigations. You’ll be a strong people manager, with an understanding of fleet operations and engineering changes required for the new trains and review changes to ensure the correct authorisation before implementation.
The Role
As the Rolling Stock Engineering Manager, you’ll be managing the delivery of new rolling stock for a busy passenger service. Leading a multi-functional team to deliver fault diagnostics and investigations, to ensure root cause is established and actions are put in place to grow the reliability of the fleet. Ensuring the delivery of high performance in safety, performance and reliability, measured by quality and customer satisfaction. You will develop strong and successful relationships with key stakeholders ensuring the fleet is fully compliant with all rail industry regulations and standards. You will drive increased productivity and quality through strong leadership, successful collaboration and innovative thinking.
The Requirements
Experienced Rolling Stock professional, that is technically astute with strong business awareness.
- Good statistical analysis and numeric skills.
- Must have a good understanding of the principles of Loss Control and Modern Safety Management.
- Must have a good level of knowledge of T&RS Engineering and standards.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
The Benefits
