The Role and About You:

As a Dual Skilled Technician, you’ll play a vital role in keeping critical assets in top condition. Your work will cover the full spectrum of mechanical and electrical maintenance on heavy-duty machinery, specialist vehicles, and associated systems. This is a safety-critical operations role where your attention to detail, accountability, and knowledge of mechanical/electrical engineering will be put to the test.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on braking, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems
  • Replacing and installing components such as motors, actuators, switchgear, and control panels

  • Completing condition checks, ensuring all work meets safety, compliance, and quality standards
  • Maintaining accurate records and working collaboratively within a skilled engineering team

This role requires you to work on a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern covering 2 days and 2 nights, with the working hours being 07:00 – 19:00/19:00 – 07:00.

You must also pass pre-employment checks, including a basic DBS check, a Drugs & Alcohol screening and a full rail medical.

The Company:
