Job Title: Train Cleaner - Night Shift at Boston Station Sidings

Contract Length: 6 Month Initial Contract with potential to join on a permanent basis

Interviews/Start Date: Solo/Video Interview with an immediate start available after passing a railway medical and drug & alcohol Test.

We have an exciting new opening available to join a leading Rail company as a Train Cleaner, performing a range of exterior & interior cleaning tasks to ensure the trains are meeting the required cleanliness standards for passenger service.

The Candidate:

We are seeking diligent, physical, and active individuals who have a background in Cleaning, Manual Labour or similar experience which requires you to be active, on your feet and using your physical capabilities on a daily basis etc…to join a leading Rail company as a Train Cleaner at their ongoing night shift operation at Boston Station Sidings to perform a range of cleaning tasks to ensure the trains are clean & presentable for passenger service the next morning.

The Role:

As a Train Cleaner, you shall be tasked with cleaning the interiors of the 2 to 3 trains stabled overnight in the sidings which include interior and exterior of the train carriages (including toilets) using approved cleaning materials, mops, cloths etc to clean. The additional duties are to connect the water pumps onsite to the train and refilling the water supply. You will be fully trained on to perform the required duties.

Requirements

A highly desired & skilled role requires you to be fit, have a positive attitude with effective communication skills, a strong work ethic, reliability & flexibility to work weeknights and weekends as part of a 7-night roster with typical working hours being.

10:00pm – 06:00am Monday to Sunday on a 3-shift basis. Week 1 = 32hours , Week 2 = 40hours Week 3 = 40hours, with potential for overtime covering holidays/absence.

Rates of Pay

  • Standard Hours (40 hours standard per week) - £11.36 per hour
  • When covering the Team Leader your rate will be £13.00 per hour

What Happens Next?

If successful, you will be required to attend a medical and drug & alcohol test at either Doncaster or Derby and provide the correct right to work/eligibility documents.
