The role and about you
As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be joining their team at Stevenage Station for 4/5 weeks to assist their station staff with their daily duties and high influx of passengers during the Christmas period.
As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be responsible for helping passengers embark and disembark the train with a ramp, directing people around the station, answering questions about train times/journeys and keeping the station looking presentable for public use. You will also liaise with the other station staff, asking them what needs to be done – offering a helping hand when needed.
You will work a demanding shift pattern across a 7-day week, cover 4-6 shifts a week, with the shifts being typically 6-12 hours long. The earliest you will ever start will be 07:00, and the latest you will ever finish will be 22:00.
You are a motivated and reliable individual who takes pride in their work. You prepared to work seven days in a row as part of a varied shift pattern. You must be able to pass a railway comprehensive drug and alcohol test.
Once you have passed the drug and alcohol test, you will complete an induction at King’s Cross Station on the 4th of December, where you will be trained on how to do your job to the best of your ability. You will start your shift pattern on the 8th of December, finish it on the 4th of January.
