The Role

The Cost and Finance Specialist will be accountable to the Estates Intelligence Manager, working closely with the Business Intelligence & Management Information (BI & MI) function to provide insight on cost and financial management trends across one or more Integrator projects.

The Cost and Finance Specialist will be required to insightful recommendations based on our thorough understanding of cost and finance in relation to estates and facilities services, including hard and soft services, lease and property costs, energy and construction/property projects to the end user clients.

The Cost & Finance Specialist will support the BI & MI project lead in producing client-facing reports, preparing for client meetings and attending meetings to present their findings if required, in line with contractual obligations. Analysis is based on data held in project-specific transactional and reporting systems, and the Cost and Finance Specialist will produce project-specific insights for client stakeholders, the client’s supply chain stakeholders and the wider Integrator team.

The Cost and Finance Specialist will be expected to identify trends in supply chain expenditure and estate costs and undertake investigations to prove a hypothesis or explore the data to see what underlying causes and issues may be causing the trends. They should be able to identify previously undiscovered issues, identifying potential issues and areas of concern before the client is aware and working with the BI & MI team to prepare insight and recommendations based on well researched, robust data that supports strategic decision making.

The Cost and Finance Specialist will work closely with the BI & MI and Systems teams to ensure reporting for all parties is up-to-date, accurate, represented clearly and supports their analysis. They will also support the wider Integrator team to provide pan-project trend analysis and benchmarking to support continuous improvement and innovation.

About you

Our client is looking for a candidate with strong analytical skills and are computer confident to use packages and software’s to aid their workload and would expect that these skills are highlighted through the application. Due to the nature of the role, they do require the candidate to be from cost and financing background where intelligence is financial driven would be essential for the role. You must be able to obtain or currently hold security clearance.
