Are you looking for an exciting challenge to get your teeth gripped into? Perhaps you want to join a company that can help you achieve bigger and better things than what your current company can offer you? If you are an established Agent or Site manager with expertise in Commercial Property, then there is an incredible opportunity awaiting you commencing on a prestigious rail project. With future opportunities available to you working on the building packages of major rail projects.

As an internationally renowned contractor, this company’s name is recognisable throughout the engineering world and they’re reputed for successful work on large scale civil engineering and construction projects. They value themselves on giving employees the highest standard of ongoing training and support, continually developing skills with regular performance and development reviews. This ensures that whatever level you join this business at, you can guarantee you’ll be on the right path to achieving your future career goals.

The Opportunity:

Based predominantly on a building package involving structural steel erection, cladding and M&E works, this role will see somebody come in and effectively manage the building works whilst overseeing a multitude of Sub contractors. This project will be ideal for somebody from a building background to get their first taste of the rail industry before commencing work on future projects with a heavier rail interface. Day to day your responsibilities will include:

  • Working in partnership with other typically rail related interfaces such as civils, signalling, p-way and OLE which will all be taking place around the projects structure. Please note, you will not need any rail experience yourself.
  • Driving safety throughout your package and liaising directly with the client and designers as part of the Project Management team.
  • Carrying out all site paperwork and working with the engineering team to advise the Design consultants and flag up buildability issues and required alterations.

About You:

You will be somebody with a significant background working on medium to large sized construction projects. You will come from a main contractor background and it is essential that you have experience of Structural Steel erection, cladding, and Fit out (office/commercial property interiors) experience. Due to the nature of this project, residential experience alone will not be suitable.

Although this role has no requirements for rail experience, some knowledge of Network rail contracts is always a bonus.

  • HND, HNC, or Degree in Building or Construction essential.

Package:

£40,000 - £50,000 basic salary per annum

Company car or car allowance

47.5 hours working week

25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Lodging if required

All competencies and tickets funded by company

Health / Life insurance

5% Pension
