Company: This company is a forward thinking, leading edge supplier of civil engineering and rail services in the UK. This giant of the industry has an impressive portfolio of Rail, Road, Nuclear, and other major projects worldwide. They are a Principal Contractor and one of Network Rail’s top 20 suppliers enabling them to work on the most prestigious projects across the UK. Through their commitment to open and collaborative approaches to working, they have a secure workload developed through frameworks from Northumberland to North London and into East Midlands. To help them deliver these regionally significant projects, they are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who would like to advance their careers with a forward-thinking company.

Role Description: The company are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join them in their regional offices in York to assist with several projects on a rail framework that will involve structures, bridges, replacement and strengthening schemes valued up to £20million. This company have a refreshing view towards remote working so you will have an opportunity to work from home for up to 3 days per week.

Required Experience: To be considered for this opportunity you will need to have experience operating as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering or rail sectors. Most importantly, you need to be someone who is looking to progress, learn and be a hardworking member of the team!

Remuneration: The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will receive a competitive salary of up to £30,000 (depending on experience), company car or car allowance, 26 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays, 42.5 hour working week, pension contribution + additional benefits alongside an opportunity to work within an established rail business with ample opportunity to progress through the ranks.
