The Client

This is an opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager who has experience working on rail projects, to work for one of the largest privately owned infrastructure companies within the UK

With a turnover of over £55 million last year the company far exceeded their projected turn over and this was in the middle of the current pandemic, making for a fantastic result. On top of this you will also be working for a company who are one of the most recognized contractors on Network Rail supply Chain.

The Role

You will be your own technical lead on your own portfolio of projects, you will be responsible for the review of site paperwork. This will include, and not limited to, task briefs, WPP’s and ITP’s and must all be in accordance with the design whilst working closely with the consultant FJD.

You must support the project team during the development and delivery phases of the project which must be done with high quality of the planning document and information. Reporting to the Site Manager you will also be involved with the pre-construction and delivery team to ensure that the methodologies incorporated are in line with their plans.

The Package

The company are offering a generous starting salary of £39,000pm. This will also include a company car or car allowance , along with 26 days holiday and a 4.5% matched pension. On top of this the company is willing to fund and support any professional qualifications you would like to be put forward for, showing a really great career opportunity.

All equipment is supplied along with PPE so no need to fund your own. Along with this great package agile working is available 2 days a week

About You

The Client is looking for a qualified Civil Engineer or vast experience within the role. Ideally working on rail infrastructure schemes alongside having experience within property/ refurbishment.

You must be able to work at pace and have a can do attitude towards framework related projects. The desired candidate will currently be a Senior Engineer or Sub Agent currently working for a Tier 1 company but the Client will consider a mixed background as long as experience has been shown within these roles.

Qualification of HNC/HND or above
