A main contractor who’s renowned for significant investment into their employees, are looking for an Assistant Project manager to join their business and work on a portfolio of rail projects throughout their Northern region. The Opportunity:

Working on projects across the CP6 framework, you can expect to see yourself concurrently taking ownership on 2-3 rail projects from the development phase right through to completion. These projects will be valued up to around £3.5million and will consist of platform extensions, station refurbishments, signal box refurbishments, Access for All schemes and works alike.

This position will see you managing a small team of Sub Agents whilst looking at any buildability or design issues and effectively steering site activities. You can expect to see yourself working both on site and in the office as well as taking full responsibility in signing off all relevant site paperwork such as Work Package Plans, Tasks briefs, ITP’s etc.

This position will give you the opportunity to showcase your skills in project management ensuring you will be able to take advantage of this companies outstanding succession plan, moving into routes such as Project Management, CEM or CRE.

Package:

For this position, the company is offering a basic salary £50,000 to £55,000 per annum, the choice of a company car or car allowance, 26 days holiday + bank holidays with two optional charity days and the option to buy more holidays, funding and support with professional memberships, 4.5% matched pension rising to 7.5%, Life assurance and an Agile working policy.

About you:

It is essential that you’re an established Site Agent who has a significant portfolio of multi-disciplined projects in the rail industry, as well as having had exposure to Network Rail contracts in a Tier 1 or 2 environment, ideally on structures and bridges.
