Lead the Night Shift Team and Ensure Trains Are Presented to the Highest Standards!
The Role and About You:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Team Leader to join the night shift train presentation team at Littlehampton Depot. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a small on-site team of up to four staff per shift, ensuring that train carriages are cleaned, sanitised, and presented to the highest standards. You will take a hands-on approach, conducting walk-through inspections and quality checks across the fleet, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting your team operationally when required.
Strong leadership, excellent communication, and attention to detail are essential, as you will be setting standards, maintaining consistency across each shift, and coaching your team to deliver outstanding results. You will be responsible for prioritising tasks, coordinating workloads, and ensuring the team meets tight operational deadlines while maintaining safety and quality standards.
In return, you will earn a competitive rate of £15.85 per hour for standard hours, with enhanced pay for overtime, rest days, and Sunday shifts, and you will be eligible for a pay increase after 12 weeks under Agency Worker Rights.
This is a physically active role, requiring individuals who are reliable, motivated, and able to lead by example. The position operates on a night-shift rota, covering a minimum of five nights per week within a Sunday–Saturday rotation. Standard hours are 21:30pm to 04:30am (35 hours per week), with flexibility to work six or seven nights in busier periods when operational needs demand.
