A Tier 1 engineering giant has an opportunity for two Project Managers to join their rail division which looks after Network Rail contracts and frameworks.

Job duties:

You will be working on projects that are a mix of Signalling and telecoms works ranging enormously in value between contracts upwards of 300k up to later grip stage projects valued up to £40 million. Alongside this, much of the work will include numerous level crossing renewals which are very much multi- disciplinary projects. You will be predominantly office based but will be required to present for important elements of work, site tours for the client, Design reviews and Staff development exercises.

  • Office based working with the clients and the support team including: Commercial, Planning, Design, Estimating and Work Winning
  • You will be responsible for the regional portfolio of projects and manage the NR12 contracts from a costing, budgetary and programming perspective.
  • You will be the company’s key representative at client meetings, stakeholder engagements, design reviews and monthly reviews and forecasting
  • You will be at the forefront on the bidding process for framework projects looking technically at the buildability, ECI, Programming, efficiencies, HSQE and pricing perspectives.
  • Your team will include Construction Managers, Supervisors and Site Engineers.
  • Deal with inspection of all related site paperwork, risk assessments, ITP’s and Temporary works
  • Developing Short terms programmes with the client.

Ideal Candidate:

  • You’ll have a strong track-record of working collaboratively and building ‘partnership’ relationships effectively with clients.
  • You’ll have exceptional people skills ensuring you’ll have the ability to maintain repeat business
  • Engineering Qualifications in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical are essential
  • Being able to assist and lead framework bids on multi-disciplinary schemes is essential.
  • You’ll have had experience with Multi-design rail projects, making you an ideal fit for this role.
  • You must be flexible to Tier 1 consultancy or Contractor
  • Must pass drug and alcohol test before commencing employment
  • Flexible to work a 39-hour week, Monday to Friday.
