A large Tier 1 company, renowned for their firm reputation within the rail industry and invaluable support of employees looking to build their career, have a brilliant opportunity for a Senior engineer in the Northamptonshire region.
Job description:
You will originally be joining a medium sized complex project which will consist of various disciplines such as Earthworks, slip surfaces and Desiccation. As Senior site engineer, you will be reporting to the Project Manager/Site agent and will be responsible for the weekly planning and ongoing delivery of site-based works. Day to day you will:
- Take on Site Safety, Health Environmental and Quality responsibilities for all site activities
- Review and interpret project drawings and specifications for site-based activity
- Setting out and surveying works on site
- Supervise works on site including labour, plant, and subcontractors
- Keep accurate records, including a diary of all site activities
- Taking off and ordering of materials
- Daily and Weekly planning of site works being carried out, including assisting in the production of Risk Assessments, Work Package Plans, Inspection Test Plans, and other documentation
- Day to day management of sub-contractors and engineers as required
Ideal candidate:
- HNC/HND/BSc Civil Engineering
- A Strong track record of Rail experience is essential
- Tier 1 or Tier 1 Rail civils experience
- Uncompromising attitude to Health & Safety
Package:
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Company Car or Car allowance (£4800)
