The Opportunity:

Commencing work on the Design and Build stage of a multi-disciplined project at the most Northern point of the Yorkshire region, you can expect to see yourself heading up a package involving resignalling, OHLE and P-way works. Eventually you will see yourself working across various projects along the LNE route throughout Yorkshire. As Project Manager your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Working with Designers for the first period of the project and using the format to help produce the Programme and CPP.
  • Managing the interface between the PC and the Tier 2 contractors, using your appreciation of multi-disciplinary rail systems.
  • Managing the site teams of Agents, Site Manager and Supervisors with a dotted line into Commercial, Engineering and Planning.

Package:

For this position, the company is offering a basic salary up to £60,000 per annum, the choice of a company car or car allowance (circa £6,000), 10% discretionary bonus, 26 days holiday + bank holidays with two optional charity days and the option to buy more holidays, 4.5% matched pension rising to 7.5%, Health insurance, Life assurance and Agile working from home - 2 days a week.

About you:

It is essential that you’re either an established Project manager or a Senior Site Agent who has a significant portfolio of multi-disciplined projects in the rail industry. You must be able to show that you have worked on Pway, Signalling, OHLE and Civils works to ensure you can hit the ground running in this position.

  • HND/HNC/BSc desired
