Selhurst Traincare Depot, London

£16.69 per hour with additional rates for overtime, rest days, and Sundays

Join a fast-paced, hands-on team keeping trains clean and ready for passengers!

The Role and About You: This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established rail operation as a Night Shift Train Cleaner, playing a key role in ensuring trains are clean, safe, and ready for passenger service each day.

Working nights from 21:45pm to 04:45am, you will be responsible for both interior and exterior train cleaning, including hoovering, mopping, sanitizing touchpoints, maintaining toilets, performing deep cleans to meet hygiene standards, and removing graffiti. The role is physically active, requiring you to be on your feet for most of the shift, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

The standard pay is £16.69 per hour, with additional rates for overtime and weekends: £20.03 per hour for overtime, £21.70 per hour for rest days, and £24.20 per hour for Sundays.

We are seeking reliable, proactive, and enthusiastic individuals who take pride in their work. Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, industrial, or transportation roles is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. You must be comfortable working nights and weekends on a rostered schedule.

The Company: Our client is one of the UK’s largest and most respected train operators, providing vital services across Southeast England and connecting millions of passengers to key destinations every year. With a modern fleet of trains, advanced depots, and a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and passenger experience, the company has built a reputation for excellence in the railway sector. Employees benefit from a supportive and structured work environment, opportunities for career progression, comprehensive training programs, and the chance to work with a team dedicated to delivering high standards across all operations.
