Plant and Facilities Technician

The Company
A truly great place to work, within this well-known international company, with offices all over the UK. This position will be based within a fast moving, highly regulated, safety conscious engineering depot.
The Role
As a plant and facilities’ technician you’ll be carrying out the ad-hoc maintenance of plant and electrical systems, for example HVAC, Lighting, water, pneumatic systems and elevators. You’ll need to be electrically trained with a good grasp of fault finding. However, the role will be very varied with opportunities to get involved with landscape maintenance too. It’ll also be within your remit to conduct weekly walk arounds to identify and assess facility and asset deterioration, reporting and repairing as needed.
The Candidate
- Relevant City & Guilds, eg 17th/18th edition or BTEC National qualification, ONC qualification or equivalent in an electrical engineering discipline.
- Building Services Engineer Apprenticeship or equivalent building experience desirable.
- Practical plant and facilities experience in a mechanical and/or electrical environment
- Broad range of fault-finding experience including; lighting, UPS, HVAC, hot and cold water, pneumatic systems and elevators.
- Health & Safety knowledge – understanding of the relevant legislation
- Ability to understand and interpret drawings and wiring diagrams is necessary
- IOSH working safely
