Please be aware of the Governments’ advice in relation to Coronavirus (COVID-19). The guidance is as follows:
Stay at home if you have coronavirus symptoms
Stay at home if you have either:
a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
Do not come into work, and do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.
Phone your local Ganymede Resource Manager or on-call to advise that you are required to stay
at home. Testing for Coronavirus is not needed if you're staying at home.
Ganymede Approved Drivers and Team Leaders
All Ganymede Team Leaders and Drivers must speak with each operative before they enter the vehicle and ask them to confirm the
That they do not have any symptoms and;
They are not required to stay at home due to a member of the household having symptoms If they cannot confirm this, they will not be permitted to attend work and the line manager or on call manager must be informed.
How long to stay at home and self-isolate
if you have symptoms, stay at home for 10 days if you live alone
if someone in your household has symptoms then you must stay at home for 14 days from the day the first person got symptoms
If you live with someone who is 70 or over, has a long-term condition, is pregnant or has a weakened immune system, try to find somewhere else for them to stay for 14 days.
Please remember the importance of the following:
wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
always wash your hands when you get home or into work
use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards
try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean
