This Tier 1 giant are looking for somebody to join their Highways division and take full responsibility for the supply chain and procurement activities across their projects and frameworks. The Opportunity:

This is a Senior post within the Highways division so you will be leading and working with the supply chain, procurement, and other functional teams to establish the best practice for all supply chain and procurement activities. You will expect to find yourself working at this level on a variety of Highways works ranging from Highway’s maintenance frameworks, right up to huge new-build heavy civils projects.

You will actively work on developing the business and implementing strategies, processes, and procedures which will contribute to delivering to the companies range of huge clients. As a role model in the division, it is crucial that you will promote the Highways unit and the company values throughout whilst developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with the business’ supply chain and other stakeholders.

Reward and renumeration:

This position comes with a fantastic basic salary of £75,000 per annum, on top of your basic you can have the choice of a Grade 4 company car or a car allowance of around £6500. Along with a 5% matched pension, basic holidays + bank holidays, health insurance, life insurance and two charity leave days. On top of the package, you can expect to be a part of some of the UK’s largest and most exciting infrastructure projects the Highways industry has to offer, and you can feel secure knowing you will be joining a company committed to Agile working, ensuring you will have the freedom and flexibility to achieve the ideal work/home life balance.

About You:

Due to the nature of this role, you’ll evidentially come from a background which sees you acting as an expert in all things purchasing and supply chain. To ensure your understanding of the industry, you will come from an Engineering background and exhibit a substantial amount of commercial awareness and negotiation skills – Highways experience in a contractor environment is a huge benefit. As this role will see you being the driving force across various teams, you will naturally be a motivational, upbeat person who is confident developing relationships with people at all levels.
