A main contractor who’s renowned for significant investment into their employees, are looking for a Sub Agent to join their business and work on a portfolio of rail projects across CP6. The role:

With a mix of office and site-based work, you can expect to see yourself working on a variety of rail projects including platform extensions, station upgrades, Access for all schemes, bridges etc.  You will be supporting the project team during the development and delivery phases of the projects through the production and maintenance of planning documents and information. You will be taking a technical lead on a portfolio of schemes whilst regularly liaising with subcontractors, 3rd parties and Authorities on behalf of the Project Team.

Day to day you will –

  • Liaise with the Project team to collate and agree the critical methodologies, project deliverables and information required for the effective development of Planning documentation and information.
  • Produce high quality Planning documentation and information for submission in a timely manner (ITPs, Work Package Plans, Task briefs etc).
  • Share and use experience to input to the Development & Delivery phases of the project.
  • Within the Planning documentation, identify key project risks and controls from a H&S and operational delivery perspective in conjunction with the delivery team.

Package:

For this position, the company is offering a basic salary up to £45,000 per annum, the choice of a company car or car allowance, 26 days holiday + bank holidays with two optional charity days and the option to buy more holidays, funding and support with professional memberships, 4.5% matched pension rising to 7.5%, Life assurance and an Agile working policy.

About You:

It is essential that you’re an established Engineer or Sub agent who has a significant portfolio of multi-disciplined projects in the rail industry, as well as having had exposure to Network Rail contracts in a Tier 1 or 2 environment, ideally on structures and bridges.
