The Company:
An ever-growing organisation who works within Infrastructure, Construction and manufacturing are currently looking to expand their team within the Infrastructure/Civils division of the business. This area has a current turn over of 16 million and growing following contract wins with the East Anglia region.
The types of works which are carried out within the division include Civil Engineering related, Specialist Structural repairs, Bridge refurbishments and much more.
With two long term framework agreements with local councils, as well as a huge private project for a well-known airport, work will not fall short with this company.
The Role:
As Sub Agent, you will be based purely within the Highways division for the company and will be working on Local authorities’ schemes.
The types of schemes you can expect to be part of as Sub Agent will include concrete repairs, structural repairs, patching, earthworks, drainage, and minor civils (value ranging from £100- £300k)
The first scheme the successful Sub Agent will be responsible for will be based around Colchester seeing it through from inception to completion.
When you are based client side you will manage a variety of civils projects, with the aim of successful completion within budget. This will always require you to be on the ball as you will assume overall responsibility for Site activities, with the assistance of the Site Supervisor.
The successful Sub Agent will report into the Project Manager and be expected to carry out paperwork including:
- Work Package Plans
- Risk Assessments
- Method Statements
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal Sub Agent will be a someone who is hands on, enjoys being out and about on site, can lead a team in a professional yet personable way.
You will be required to have:
- SMSTS, CSCS Gold Car
- HNC Civil Engineering/Construction
- Experience in Drainage, structures, culverts, and bridges experience (This can be from any industry, i.e., Highways, Rail, Marine, General Civils)
- Experience with site paperwork such as WPP’s, Method statements, Risk Assessments
Remuneration:
- Salary of upto£50,000
- Car allowance
- Working hours Monday - Friday
