The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Site Manager to join a winning team that has the lion share of the work in the Eastern region, with the opportunity of longevity of work and career progression. Currently on a 3-year project but a possible extension of 2 years gives you an understanding of long-term scope of work.

The Site Manager will be based in Central Yorkshire and be part of a large team situated on sites as close to home as possible. You will be the eyes and ears on Site and work in partnership with a Project Agent, who will provide critical information on design, programme scope and Work Package plans.

They will oversee a safe environment and ensure works on site are carried out to completion and in accordance with design. You will accompany stakeholders and clients on site to ensure their satisfaction with works taking place as well as overseeing the procurement of subcontract labour. They will allocate work on the projects and be responsible for inductions and managing a team of Supervisors and Engineers.

You will report to a Project Manager who will oversee a portfolio of schemes so it is vital the Site Manager can work autonomously. Although, they will supervise Quality checks and ITP's to ensure accordance with scope.

About you

This role does involve mid-weekdays, nights and weekends so the candidate must be flexible and understand this can be required to ensure project is completed to a high standard, but the overtime rate is exceptional rate outside of the 42.5 hours a week.  

This role does not necessarily require someone from a technical background the Site Manager will use their knowledge of the rail sector to ensure sites are completed on time and to budget in partnership with a large support network, must be able to demonstrate this throughout application process.

Knowledge of site paperwork would be hugely advantageous, for example producing WPP’s, Method statements, Task briefs from scratch. We will consider that they are able to check and verify but being able to create these documents would be a great asset to your skillset.
