The Opportunity:

Stepping into the rail division, you will commence work on a huge project in the North East which will cover various general civil engineering and rail disciplines. A fantastic thing about this position is that it is open to Site engineers from a variety of industries such as rail, highways, water, or coastal defence. Whether you have a rail background or not, you will be promised fantastic development on the job to enhance your skills and knowledge. Reporting into the Sub Agent, day to day you will:

  • Work on Earthworks, Drainage, Reinforced concrete, Piling and foundations. Setting out accurately in accordance with design.
  • Report back on buildability, quality issues, assist with the production of WPP’s and Method statements.
  • Carrying out quality checks.
  • Working with sub-contractors of other disciplines to ensure successful interface.

Renumeration and Package:

A fantastic package is on offer and the right person will see themselves on a basic salary of £27,000 - £30,000 plus the choice of a Company car or Car allowance (circa £4,000), 25 days holidays plus bank holidays, 5% matched Pension, Private health Insurance, and support and mentorship with chartership.

About you:

To ensure you will hit the ground running, it is a given that you’ll have had experience as a Graduate or Site engineer for a few years on Civil engineering projects and you must have a proven track record of works in Earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete, piling and foundations.

Rail experience is beneficial, but you can come from a Highways, Water or coastal defence background if you have experience on NEC contracts. To ensure you fit the culture of this company, you will be ambitious to progress yourself and your career to ensure your success across the company’s ongoing portfolio of large projects.

  • HND/HNC/Degree in Civil engineering
