Site Agent

A Tier 1 award winning contractor have a fantastic opportunity for a Site agent to work on a large highways project in the Cambridgeshire region. The project will consist of multi-disciplined Highways work so will require somebody with a significant Highways new build background who is seeking a brand-new project to work at all stages on.
Job Duties:
As Site agent, you will be responsible for the site from an Engineering, operational and SQE perspective. Day to day you will:
- Manage a section of works including the supervision and monitoring of the site team and supply chain.
- Plan, control and monitor the progress of the works and coordinate the section(s) of the project as allocated.
- Manage multiple packages of work in conjunction with the commercial team.
- Ensure any changes in scope (operations, commercial, programme or design) are captured and managed.
- Attend external meetings as required with clients and stakeholders.
- Assist the Project Manager in administering the cost forecast, valuation, and reporting systems.
- Undertake material take offs where required and ensure materials are ordered and reconciled.
- Effectively lead and manage direct reports ensuring appropriate competence is maintained, including annual PDR’s.
- Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), Permit to Work systems, site inductions and safety briefings are correctly carried out.
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and problems that may arise
- Identify and assist in introducing new process’, techniques and innovations on site.
Ideal Candidate:
You will be a Site Agent from a Tier 1 background with a proven track record working on major highways projects involving heavy civils or junction remodelling.
- Degree, HNC, HND Civil engineering essential
- SMSTS
- CSCS
