Company: With a turnover of £300million, this company have definitely got a big presence in the industry. They specialise in rail, civil engineering, building, M&E, renewals, and maintenance with the likes of Network Rail, Canal & River Trust, London Underground, Environmental Agency, Magnox, and Highways England. The business in underpinned by 36 separate framework agreements with 12 different customers although the main bulk of their work is in rail (delivering over £184m last year) with two distinct parts of the business-IP, which is where they undertake the larger schemes such as bridge replacements and embankment stabilisations and Asset Management, which includes minor works such as earthworks, bridge repair, vegetation, painting, and tunnels.

Role Description: Based out of the company’s midland regional office in Derby, you will be working closely with the Commercial Manager and managing your own portfolio of Network Rail projects valued up to £35million. Alongside this you will also have involvement in some of the other major rail schemes including the upcoming works on HS2. Although this role is based out of Derby, there will be an opportunity to work from home 2-3 days per week.

Required Experience: In order to be considered for this role you will need to have experience operating at Quantity Surveyor level with main contractors, ideally on rail schemes however civil engineering and/or NEC experience would suffice.

Remuneration: On offer is a competitive salary of up to £55,000 depending on experience, company car or car allowance, 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays, frequent working from home, 39 hour working week, 5% matched pension contribution + additional benefits alongside a clear route to progression.
