The Company
You will be joining a reputable and firmly established, national rail and civil engineering contractor, which specialise in rail civil engineering. A business that is recognised on contracts and frameworks across the country, you will become part of a renowned brand name and team giving you the opportunity to grow in conjunction with this ambitious and forward-thinking business.
The Role
This is an outstanding opportunity to join an exciting organisation as it continues to grow. Having won several frameworks with Network Rail, they are looking for Senior Project Manager, with experience of managing rail projects from the cradle to the grave. You’ll be managing projects up to the value of £20M, but this is likely to grow as the organisation continues to wins further projects within the region.
This is a dual role consisting of 80% operational delivery, coupled with 20% of bidding support (Providing technical input into the tendering process). You will have the opportunity to build your own team that will consist of Scheme Project Managers (APM), Project Agents, Site Managers and Supervisors.
As well as Management of the team, you will be responsible for the day to day client liaison.
As the Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for the commercial and financial performance of the schemes (working in partnership with the commercial team) as well as the technical and programming elements - using your expert knowledge in buildability and planning.
You will have final sign off responsibility for site paperwork including WPP's, Construction Phase Plans, Method Statements etc.
Ideal Candidate
You’ll be an established Project Manager or SPM that is motivated to join an expanding organisation where you’ll be instrumental in building a division within project delivery.
With a background in Civil Engineering within the Rail sector, preferably on projects that include Bridges, platforms, stations, enhancements, renewals or structures.
Ideally educated to a minimum of a Degree in Civil Engineering, but HNC/HND will be considered.

Offering a salary of up to £70,000 per annum, Bonus Scheme up to 13.5% per annum, company car or car allowance, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, Professional memberships, 4.5% matched pension that rises to 7% after 5 years and health care.
