Solo Interview / Immediate Start

Contract Length: 6 months initial contract (12 – 18 months project)

The Company

This is an opportunity to work for a successful train operating company which operates one of the busiest networks in the country and focuses on providing a reliable train service for their passengers. This company has recently invested in a full fleet of modern trains with increased seats to provide more pleasant and comfortable journeys for commuters to ensure significantly improved customer experience.


As a Rolling Stock Modification Technician, you will be working on a variety of fleets performing electrical “mods” with the focus being the LED lighting and USB ports. Working from engineering drawings, you shall be performing removals of the old system/component, point to point testing, crimping, and wiring of circuit systems for plugs.

The Ideal Candidate

You are an experienced Rolling Stock Modification Engineer with extensive work history performing electrical modifications. To be considered for this role, you will have worked on rolling stock projects where you can demonstrate your experience working on “mods” in clear detail.


A proven background in electrical modifications from the rolling stock sector is highly desired and you are qualified to a level 3 engineering standard with the flexibility to work both days & nights


Days and Nights – 50 hours per week

Rate of Pay – Days £27 p/h (Inside IR35) / Nights £30 p/h (Inside IR35)
