Job Title: Rolling Stock Maintenance Engineer – Maintenance & Exams

This is an opportunity to work for a successful train operating company which operates one of the busiest networks in the country and focuses on providing a reliable train service for their passengers. This company has recently invested in a full fleet of modern trains with increased seats to provide more pleasant and comfortable journeys for commuters to ensure significantly improved customer experience.
As a Rolling Stock Maintenance Engineer, you will be working on a variety of fleets performing maintenance & exams - A, B & C (“a full MOT of the trains”) which have been singled out for having defects or faults of the safety critical systems such as braking systems, power testing, visual inspections, components changes and defect rectifications.
the ideal candidate
You are an experienced Rolling Stock Maintenance Engineer with extensive work history in light maintenance & exams on fleet defects. To be considered for this role, you will have worked on rolling stock projects with a focus on identifying and rectifying faults, removing, and repairing safety critical components. Alternatively, you will have previous experience from the Forces performing similar duties and hold a transferrable skill set to make the move into the rolling stock sector.
A proven background in rolling stock maintenance & exams and hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 Engineering. Flexibility to work shifts of both days and nights is highly desired.
Days and Nights (4 on/ 4 off) 12-hour shifts.
Rate of Pay - £27 p/h (Inside IR35)
