Role: (Senior) Quantity Surveyor

Company: This Company is an established and experienced railway infrastructure contractor. They have a successful track record of delivering projects across the whole of the UK; working with Network Rail, London Underground as well as light rail and tram operating companies to enhance the national infrastructure. Their years of experience and continued company growth have earned them a reputation within the industry for high performance and innovation, and as a company focussed on timely and efficient delivery. The rail division has grown dramatically over the past 8 years from around £25million to a projected turnover of £150million.
Role Description: The Company are looking to bring in a Quantity Surveyor to work on one of the most significant rail projects in the North of England. This is an excellent opportunity to join the commercial and project teams working across a multitude of workstreams on the £200million project. Based between the head office and sites in York and the surrounding areas, you will be working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor and will be responsible for cost management, accounting, forecast management, variations, valuations, client liaison, assisting with tender enquiries and compiling and monitoring construction budgets.
Required Experience: To be considered for this role you will need to have experience operating at Quantity Surveyor level with main contractors, ideally on rail projects but civil engineering and/or NEC experience would suffice. Having experience of managing your own projects would help you stand out from the crowd.
Remuneration: On offer is a competitive salary of up to £55,000 (depending on experience), company car or car allowance, 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays, 40 hour working week, pension contribution + additional benefits alongside an opportunity to work within an established rail business on one of the largest rail projects in the North of England.
