Role: Quantity Surveyor
Salary: up to £55,000 (depending on experience) + company car or car allowance
Start Date: As soon as possible
“An opportunity for a motivated Quantity Surveyor to become a commercial lead in the next 12-months.”
Company: This is an opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary construction company undertaking projects across the East Midlands, ranging in value from a £200k to £2.5million. Established in 2000, the company is part of one of the largest and most successful privately owned construction and development groups in the UK. This means financial security, extensive industry knowledge and huge flexibility. Client satisfaction is at the heart of everything they do and their skilled staff have wide-ranging experience of working for both public and private clients on projects ranging from the commercial sector and education sectors to industrial and healthcare. A large proportion of their workload comes from repeat orders, which is evidence that their goal of continually striving for the highest level of customer satisfaction is regularly achieved.
Role Description: Initially working closely with the Managing Director, you will be responsible for subcontract management, monthly CVR’s, agreeing variations and valuations along with attending project meetings and site visits for projects valued up to £2.5million. Site visits won’t be too strenuous however as all their work is local, (nothing further than 60 miles) although the current portfolio is based in Derby and Nottingham. The expectation in the role is that, should a suitable Quantity Surveyor join the business, then the Quantity Surveyor will eventually take over the commercial aspects of the business, so progression and development is in your hands!
Remuneration: On offer is a competitive salary of up to £55,000 (depending on experience), company car or car allowance, 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays, 40 hour working week (shorter day on Friday) pension contribution + additional benefits alongside a clear route to progression.
Required Experience: In order to be considered for this role you will need to have experience operating at Quantity Surveyor level within the Construction sectors, ideally on schemes valued between £500k and £2.5million.
